FAQ: Who carries out the control of greys on behalf of SSRS?
Only those people trained to do so. As well as Grey Squirrel Control Officers employed by the Project, this might include landowners, gamekeepers and trained volunteers. A training programme (or proof of prior training) will be mandatory on taking up any grant-funding for grey squirrel control, or on taking up any of the Project’s traps on loan, to ensure that consistent best practice is maintained.
