Best Practice
One of the aims of Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels (SSRS) is to share best practice. We will share our existing expertise and future findings with others working in the environmental sector and project supporters and volunteers. We also aim to widen public awareness of the threats facing red squirrels and encourage individuals and communities to help red squirrel conservation.
SSRS will run an outreach programme in each project area which will see us actively engage with everyone, from landowners and local authorities to community groups and the general public. We plan to run public education events, training sessions, exhibitions at regional fairs and wider events, keep our project website up-to-date with our project’s progress and keep red squirrels in the news!
